The COMBAT ACADEMY U.K. Instructor Team

Our instructor team enjoy an excellent reputation both on a local level and up to International competition successes, giving you the confidence that your training will have a Positive effect on your life. All of our Instructors have a minimum of two years of training before they teach the public. This gives you the assurance that your personal safety and well-being is a total priority to us. Our Instructors attend weekly sessions and are skilled in exercise and health principles as well as Martial Art Techniques. All Instructors are subject to very high standards through our regulations and are all subject to DBS disclosure. To maintain their Instructor status within our Academy, all Instructors must:

  • Have a DBS less that 2 years old.
  • Be first aid qualified.
  • Have 20 contact hours with the master instructor every year.
  • Confirm with our Instructor 'Code of conduct'
  • Attend the MAIUK Instructor course regularly.

Senior Instructor of Combat Academy UK. Former W.U.M.A World Self Defence Champion, holder of over 15 National titles won over 10 years competing. Ian is a leading National Authority on exercise science. He has been teaching in the martial arts for 25 years.

ALUN FREEMAN

Windsor

Teaches juniors and adults at the Clewer Centre on Fridays. Three times National Kickboxing Champion, and a bronze medallist at the WUMA World Championships. Alun has a wide experience of different styles of martial arts.

Dave has been teaching now for over 10 years, he is a dedicated and experienced Instructor. Dave has successfully presented 100's of junior students to gradings over the years.

Chris has a busy class in Peel on the Isle. His sessions are great fun for all ages and he is assisted by his family in the running of the class. The class has been running for just over a year now and Ian visits the club twice per year for grading's which are always a great occasion.

Richard has been training in martial arts for over 20 years and has been with Combat Academy UK for nearly 10 years. Our newest established club, Richard teaches a clear pathway of syllabus techniques suitable for all grades and ages. Teaches in Old Windsor on Mondays.

An accomplished tri-athlete, Dave is on of C.A.UK's most senior and experienced Instructors. One of the very first generation of C.A.UK Black Belts, Dave is now an established teacher of teachers.

Pete is a highly respected instructor with loyal following of both adults and juniors. He originally joined the Academy after brining his children to the classes and deciding to give it a go! Pete is a calm, fair but firm role model for the children and young adults in his club. A passionate instructor, Pete has guided many junior practitioners to high grade and black belt level.

Andy joined Combat Academy to learn Ju Jitsu, after being fascinated by it from watching MMA competitions. He was introduced to the Kickboxing element quickly and hasn’t put the gloves down since. He is an active competitor of both disciplines, and is a proud regular of the C.A UK Fight team. He is passionate in coaching and teaching others and passing on his enthusiasm for the sport. His classes have a friendly atmosphere, perfect for those looking to improve fitness, and are a mixture of both styles for all ages and abilities.
